VVSD Class of 2026 Spotlight- Joaquin Vidad, Valedictorian, Romeoville HS
Romeoville High School Class of 2026 Valedictorian Joaquin Vidad has an infectious energy and an engaging manner of conversation. Joaquin is also one of those people who has the gift of explaining things in the most simple, honest, and direct ways that is quite refreshing.
Joaquin will attend Norther Illinois University and study nursing. Joaquin originally wanted to become a doctor but… We’ll let him explain because Joaquin’s explanation of why he’s choosing nursing is honest and to the point.

VVSD Class of 2026 Spotlight- Rianne Joelle Garcia, Salutatorian, Romeoville HS
Romeoville HS Class of 2026 Salutatorian Rianne Joelle Garcia began her educational path at Hermansen Elementary School, then the R.C. Hill Elementary School Challenge Program, A.Vito Martinez Middle School and finally as a graduate of Romeoville HS. Rianne participated on the stage crew in the RHS performing arts program, which led to her finding her future path of study.
Rianne will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in the fall and will study architecture. Rianne is an example of how diverse learning experiences can take a freshman, with a yet undefined path for their future, can discover specific interests that lead to a decision-making process.
